1. Select the workshop batch you want to join from open slots below

7-8 Nov

2. What are your thoughts on how this residency could be of help to you or your organisations work?

I believe that the program will help me improve my skills in utilizing technology for environmental initiatives at our organization. Currently, we focus on climate, environmental and waste management initiatives, collaborating with organizations like Yuwaah by UNICEF India and the Ministry of Forest, Environment, and Climate Change of India. We are now designing VolSkool, an initiative aimed at actively engaging school students in climate volunteering activities and we are seeking technology solutions for volunteer management, donation impact tracking, and data management. I hope the program will introduce me to new technology that can streamline processes like tracking attendance, generating certificates and monitoring activities, allowing us to better engage and motivate our volunteers. I believe that learning about platforms specifically designed for environmental impact measurement will help us effectively communicate our efforts and outcomes to stakeholders. I am confident this opportunity will empower us to scale our impact and ultimately advance our mission for climate action and sustainable development.

4. If you are a student or staff representing a grassroots NGO with limited budget, do you need a travel allowance to cover your travel costs?

I am originally from Kollam and currently have a space at Pallikara, Ernakulam - The Volunteers Hub, where I mostly stay. My travel expenses would be approximately Rs.1000 and I believe I can manage that. However, if any travel allowance is available, I would be happy to receive it.

5. A working laptop will be required for the workshop and future online support.

Yes, I have a laptop

6. What is one thing that your friends & colleagues find valuable about you?

The main thing my friends and colleagues find valuable about me is my extensive experience in the volunteering field for 18 years, which has allowed me to build a strong network of volunteers across Kerala. I actively support my peers by connecting them with opportunities, mentoring them, collaborating and helping them turn their ideas into action.
